Are you sitting for or thinking of sitting for the CCS exam and looking for information and resources to help you study and prepare?Academy Study GuideThe Academy of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Physical Therapy is committed to supporting those individuals who are studying to sit for the ABPTS Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Specialty (CCS) Examination. The Academy appointed a committee made up of Board Certified Cardiovascular Specialists to create a Study Guide to assist you with your efforts. Currently these materials are housed on a google drive and made available to you upon purchase

Order Now The study guide contains a study plan timeline, list of recommended textbooks, detailed outlines which provide a framework for expected knowledge on all areas of the DSP, practice questions and cases studies. Upon purchasing, you will be given a link to the study guide located on a google drive.
This study guide is not endorsed by the ABPTS or by the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Specialty Council. Purchase of this guide does not guarantee a passing score on the specialty examination.
Important Dates & Deadlines for 2026-2027 May 12: Initial Certification Application Window Opens June 30: MOSC Submission Deadline July 1: Initial Certification Early Bird Application Submission Deadline (Save $100) Aug. 31: Reapplication Deadline. For candidates who did not sit or pass on first attempt. Sep. 30: Initial Certification Final Application Deadline. (Additional $100 fee for submissions received after July 1). Nov. 30 Initial Certification Exam Fee Deadline Mid-Dec. Exam Scheduling Information Issued. An email will be sent with information on how to schedule the date and location to sit for your exam. Feb./March: 2027 Exam Dates: February 25 - March 18, 2026. By June 30: Exam Results Released. Notification of exam results will sent by email (from [email protected]) and shortly after to the online portal. APTA/Academy Members save over $1000 by joining!
